We wanted to head to the island of Antiparos in the morning to hike down to the cave of Antiparos but unfortunately the ferry wasn't running as it was still too windy. So instead we grabbed a nice breakfast in town and then wondered through the streets of Parikia with many shops and restaurants. After a few hours of exploring, we went and visited the Pangia Ekatondapyliani which is a beautiful and fairly large church built in 326AD. Also on the grounds is the Byzantine museum which has lots of paintings and artifacts of Jesus, the apostles and virgin Mary dating between the 14th and 19th century.
We then headed back to the main street to sort out a car to rent for the day tomorrow as we are hopping to travel to Naoussa (on the north part of the island) and then to Monastiri beach and spend the whole day there tomorrow. We got a great deal and then headed back to our hotel and spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing and enjoyed some wine and cocktails on the balcony of the hotel overlooking the bay of Parikia! The wind started to die down around 3:30 and it turned out to be a fine evening!
Our car got dropped off at 8 then we headed back to town for dinner to a place called Levantis which has a beautifully decorated courtyard and amazing food! We called it a night after and are looking forward to tomorrow!
