Has anyone been counting the amount of boats I've been on so far this trip?!
I'm currently on yet another.
It's nice, it has a slide and a hot tub/spa thing but it's just not as cool as the junk boat. Or the pirate ship type replica one in Melaka.

Ooh ooh actually my favourite bit about this one is that Chris is on it :o) my fake Marc from my Thailand tour. What a massive coincidence we both booked the same boat for the same day. I'm really glad to see him though. I'm missing having people around that I actually want to be with.
It's hard to explain unless you've been in a similar situation. Yeah you're travelling with friends, but they're not really your friends. There are people that I've done stints of this east coast trip that I wouldn't have ever spoken to at home. Those I choose to distance myself from at any given opportunity but it's not that easy to walk away all the time.
Alone time is hard to come by without being moaned at for being antisocial or moody. I think others don't quite get that maybe I don't actually enjoy their company all that much and would prefer to read a book. (started reading The Beach the other day and cant put it down. I love it refers to places I've been to recently. Helps I haven't seen the film too)

Anyhoo point being, I miss having real friends. People I do actually want to see when I get home. Chris was one of them and I'm so happy he's here. Fake husband Paul is another and I've heard he's in Cairns at the mo so i'll get to see him again soon. I'm definitely going to see Scottish Paul too along with
Elaine and Lisa.
That doesn't seem like a lot of people for the time I've been away. I guess I just don't like that many :-P

Am I waffling too much in these things or is it giving you all a good insight as to my daily thought processes?
Either way, there's not much chance in me changing haha

Ok so back to this boat. Snorkelling tomorrow followed by a spot of intro diving on the great barrier reef, then sunbathing, eating and drinking. Jolly good.
Gonna see lots of pretty fishes. Even managed to see some dolphins tonight, showing off by the boat in the glow of the boats lights. Pretty amazing. It's crazy there's a whole world down there
