Left Byron this morning after a pretty big last night out. Giving away free drinks is a bad idea!
Damn that cheeky monkeys.
I've lost so many hours of my weekend to that place and so much of which I cannot recall much of.
Worth it though!
I've loved Byron. Such a cool little place, full of surfers, skaters and hippie types.
OMG, speaking of which. I had my second surf lesson yesterday afternoon and managed to stand!!
So proud of myself. Our instructor James (with blue eyes) was ace. He's been surfing for 28 years so you'd expect him to be a bit good. Wrote a book on it and everything.
3 hours of surfing in the rain was pretty tiring. Done far too much exercising this weekend. Bike riding and whatnot and trekking up to the lighthouse.
We've got 3 days of kayaking yet to do in Noosa!
The holiday village we were stating in was lovely. Run by a bunch of mentals, mainly Canadian's, and loads of fun. Not entirely sure who was actually in charge of the place because they all seemed to be having far too much fun and getting away with doing very little. But fair play to them!
Had to help Murray with the benches coz he's too ickle to do it himself.
He was muchos funos and had a tattoo of two red pigs having sex, on his bum! What a random thing to have tattood!
So anyway. Last night, long story. There was a boy, Sam. Apparently won a massive amount of money so quit his job and went travelling. Might bump into him again and find out that story. 75 grand is a lot and I can't remember the story.
Didn't sleep much, got up stupidly early for the bus and headed up the coast to Surfers.
It's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. It's a nice little place. Plenty of places to spend money and beautiful long beach.
Actually managed to do a spot of sunbathing for the first time in weeks!
Almost forgot how damn quickly I tan. It's a little bit ace :o) need to build up the tan to help me survive the NZ winter.
