Without wifi there's no way of knowing what I have and haven't said about Magnetic Island already, so apologies if I'm repeating myself.
We spend nearly a week on the island. It was pretty and a lovely little place to retire or raise kids, but since I don't plan on doing either right now, it's not much use to me other than sunbathing.
We stayed at Base, as recommended by our driver, Princess. Partly because it's near to his parents house, partly due to him having previously worked there but mostly for the location I think. It was right on the beach, so all meals were eaten over looking the sea :o)
Bliss
Swiftly made friends with one of the guys behind the bar, which definately came in handy.
I was flicking through old photos on my iPhone and he saw a pic of me looking all pretty with straight hair and a short black dress on and refused to believe it was me, because I looked hot! Cheeky b***** quickly corrected himself and said I still am hot!
Got me plenty of free drinks after that.
Him and Princess both gave me drinks actually. Good times
Although my hands got really swollen after drinking goon punch so those free drinks proved pointless.
What else happened on the island?
Ooh I had a job interview on Thursday. It was a little weird having a phone interview whilst at the beach, with two people thousands of miles away in New Zealand.
Things went well and they said they'd just need to go through the agency, so I'm waiting for that now before I bother going out to get work shoes and trousers.
I hope it all goes through ok coz I really need the money.
The camera I bought in Vietnam decided to break too the other day, so now I have none at all. That one is only 2 months old though so will definitely be under manufacturers warrantee. Just need to have a fixed address to do so.
Speaking of which, I discovered the need for yet more things before I can work as a Radiographer!
New Zealand is hard work!
