It's pretty difficult to keep tabs on what I've done when I forget to write this thing.
We arrived in Noosa a few days ago and have used this as a rest stop.
Went to Australia zoo yesterday which was amazing.
Got to hold a koala and a baby alligator as well as stroke a wombat and feed kangaroos!
We saw some crocodile shows and I fell in love with the guy feeding the crocs by hand like a crazy mo fo.
His name was Tom, he was Aussie but originally from Cambridge and is going to Borneo soon. Our conversation would have been longer but there was a queue of other people waiting to hold the croc/alligator he'd just handed me. Ho hum, such is life.
The zoo's pretty awesome. Steve Irwin and his family have set up something pretty incredible. The whole place is all about education through interaction and excitement and by jingo it works.
I'm now a wildlife warrior (I have the band to prove it. Like a power ranger or one of those captain planet kids with the rings) essentially just donated a few dollars to the on site animal hospital which is apparently the biggest in the world!
You all know how much I love zoos but by jingo this one takes the prize for the best. When they complete the Africa section I am going back. I don't care how much it'll cost me to stay in the accommodation they're putting in, I'm bloody doing it. It'll be miles better than the one in Kent, and to be fair, that ones pretty good!
Enough about the zoo, that was yesterday. Today we went to the beach.
The end
Haha that was pretty much it though in all honesty.
Stupid Tim had booked us on the wrong bus so we actually had an extra night in Noosa. Lots of fuss with bags and checking in & out but ah well. s*** happens.
Our room was then filled with people in the evening. The 5 of us, plus Iona, the Canadian's, big James and Ally. All that heat though meant I didn't have to sleep in my hoody for the first time in days. Hurrah!
