Returned from 3 days on the worlds largest sand island, Fraser Island, yesterday afternoon.
It was a beautifully stunning place but I was miserable almost the entire time thanks to being stuck with thieves and useless children who were unwilling to help with any of the meals preparation or cleaning up.
One actually said, on the first night, "I'd offer to help wash up but CBA right now". That was the moment I knew we weren't going to get along.
Then came the cutlery thieves and plate pinchers, despite each group having their own sets everyone felt the need to steal from us. It really really pissed me off.
Josh was also a completely useless dj and only put on songs he liked in the car and even then wouldn't play it all the way through. You can't flick through songs constantly, it's annoying.
I was pretty glad to get back to the main land and have walls around me again and not have to eat sand speckled food again. But most if all I loved not being stuck in a car with 7 other people constantly and being able to actually get away from the situation that stresses me out or pisses me off.
The best thing to come of the trip were awesome new mates. Deaglan and Paul.
Absolutely gutted they're travelling south but I am most definitely going to try to see them again. Paul will regret inviting me to up to scotland, in fact I'm not even sure he did invite me but by jingo I'm defo going up there.
Deaglan's gonna get a visit when I'm back in Melbourne too if he's back by then. He is a massive sweetheart. Absolute nutter but massive sweety.
He let me cry at him lots, without question. Just hugged and let it out.
Bloody love him for that.
So sad they've gone now. They made a massive impact on all of us and we were only together 4 days.
This morning before they left they came into the room to say goodbye and played Green Day's 'Time of Your Life'.
The most dramatic goodbye so far, but lovely all the same.
Curly wurley, girl, burger, murder and Edinburgh will never be said the same again :o)
