Day 147, 28 November 2012, Edinburgh, Edinburgh Castle, Camera Obscura & World of Illusions, Working Tartan Mill, The Royal Mile (Closes & Wynds), Cocktail at Frankenstein's Bar, Mercat Ghostly Underground Tour, Mulled Cider and dinner at the Advocate, Cadies Murder & Mystery Tour (with Jumper Ooterers), Christmas Market preparations in full swing).
As you can see from the list above, Edinburgh has gotten entirely out of control and we've been absolutely run off our frozen wee feets seeing and doing everything under the sun. Did I mention we had another sunny day? Bliss. Highlights today included visiting the Camera Obscura and World of Illusions. Seeing the camera show which actually is all done with sunshine and mirrors showed us all around Edinburgh and we spent almost 2 hours in the World of Illusions behaving like big kids (see photo album from today for proof). http://www.camera-obscura.co.uk. The other highlight was the tour we took in the evening run by the Cadies and Witchery Tours (Adam Lyal, deceased). A ghoulish personage who led us about Edinburgh's back streets, scaring us with historical facts and periodically scaring us silly with a Jumper Ooterer leaping out from dark corners dressed in monster outfits. Sounds daft - but huge fun and led us into lots of dark corners. Fabulous dinner at The Advocate, near the Tron Kirk - two enormous dinners and a mulled cider each for £14. Don't know what tomorrow will bring as I'm sure we've done absolutely everything possible in Edinburgh today!
