We have arrived a few days earlier then planned into Alice Springs so we are just enjoying a few lazy days. The first few days have been really cold which I wasn't prepared for. I was expected warm during the day and cold at night. During the day, the sun is definitely warm but the wind chill is freezing and the nights are between -1 and 4 degrees celsius.
On Saturday we went to the Transport Museum which was quite good.




We are camping at the back of the Gap View hotel for $11 a night which is quite good. It is a strange sight seeing police officers outside all the liquor stores.I was unsure what they were doing at first but have now learnt they check the identities of people coming through to see if they live in a restricted area or are banned from consuming alcohol.

Dad and Jodie flew in on Sunday and had quite a show from an elderly lady ripping her shirt off and lifting up her skirt baring all underneath. We have so far avoided any such shows but have heard of other instances of women squatting in the streets to relieve themselves.
