Woken up by the wind this morning as it sounded like the awning was about to take off. A few spots of rain and we were girded into action to pack up the beds. The kids were all keen to help and we we ended up on the road early at 9am. It was a straightforward drive through to Adelaide and we even navigated our way through the city to the caravan park without any mistakes. We are staying in a Big 4 park on West Beach. It has a couple of pools, 2 air trampolines, multiple playgrounds and masses of kids. They have a deal on at the moment that kids stay free and we are Big 4 members so we are only paying $32.40 a night - the cheapest place by far!!! The kids are in heaven. It took us forever to put the annex up as the wind was causing problems but the kids disappeared as soon as we parked the car so it didn't matter. We are staying here until Sunday so it's nice to unpack properly and clean up a little bit. Nick and Jonny went to stock up on groceries while I cleaned the van, then we took a walk along West Beach to the Adelaide Sailing Club. The beach is a bit more like a WA one with a decent surf and good sand. We had a gourmet dinner of peppered steak with mash, which took a while to clean up afterwards, but it was worth it!
