Happy Easter!! This is my second Easter away from home, both with Paul (first time in Vegas). To our surprise, the Easter Bunny found us in the Townplace Suites and hid jellybeans all over (carefully). We went to 8 AM mass. It was actually a pretty good mass. The priest was young and funny. We decided on the 8 AM to avoid the larger crowds. We went to breakfast after and then hit the road to Orlando. We left in light rain and drove about 45 minutes in heavier rain. We drove out of it and we cleared the panhandle of Florida. We went from 65 to 85/87. Nice. We thought Tallahassee was a really nice town actually (Florida State or not Aunt Missy).
Now we are at our house in Orlando, Casa La Jolla. It is in a neighborhood near Disney. We have 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and a private pool. Slightly different from what we have been staying in for the past week. We don't have to eat out every meal either. Bleck. I need to get back on my candida diet asap. They will tell you it's gluten free or dairy free but if it tastes good, then chances are I'll be sick and bloated later. So now I can get on track again. Of course, the kids couldn't be held back from the pool for long. I'm not sure they will ever get out.
In case you are wondering how everyone is getting along. We all have our moments especially those (two) in middle school. We all have our moments of moodiness. There is always the "don't touch me!" "I'm not sleeping with him!" "Who gassed!" "BEN!!!" But this is what we are all learning about. How to get along with others, how to be respectful of feelings and space and bonding for a lifetime with unbelievable memories. We laugh about the funny moments and we laugh harder about the bad moments. They play games in the car like Sing Down, 20 questions, hangman, Draft and A-Z. They watch movies, they read and they draw. They DON'T EVER sleep. I don't think they ever have. Maybe Matthew did on our first trip from being up too late or something because he was so young. So, we do have our moments of yelling. Actually, Paul was pleasantly surprised coming to our room one day because he heard yelling and realized it wasn't coming from our room. Others yell too.
One thing I do have to say is that I have packing down to a science and the kids are great at getting in and out of a hotel room with ease. I think the hard part is that the older they get, the pickier they are about what they wear. This year it was Ben. The other two don't care much yet. I'm going to need bigger drawers in the trunk.
Disney Day Tomorrow!!
End note: I read a lot and post a lot of pictures because this will be turned into a blog book for the kids.
