Today was an interesting day. It started out beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on our beach by the water with coffee and sadly checked out of our cabin room. We set off to Noah's Ark waterpark for a second day to relive some thrills and try some new ones. It is a big park. We made it on the Bermuda Triangle which was mellow fun.
We were on our way up the next slide when there was a rumble of thunder. No one seemed phased by it but me. Fear started creeping up my spine. I put my trust in the park and my husband that all was ok. A couple more flights up and 25 more people backing us up, another rumble of thunder and my gut and mother's instinct started kicking in. Step by step up made me want to grab my children and run back down. How stupid are we soaked in water, standing in puddles and working our way to the highest point in the park. Another rumble of thunder and a few steps to the very top. Human lightening rods. Then the announcement came to close all rides. Thank you God. I don't think I would have gone all the way to the top with my kids. Plain stupid. We all made our way down in the rain. I was relieved but we were all a little bummed that we didn't get to do more.
We decided to make our way to Chula Vista for some indoor slides and water fun. It was the typical loud bacteria infested Petri dish. It was ADD sensory overload. We did make it on a fun slide with a giant bowl. Not thrilling but fun. We stayed a couple of hours and headed off to Minnesota.
We hardly made it out of the lot before the kids started bickering AGAIN. WTF! I went bizerk. It was the complaining and the kids picking at each that threw me over. Yes I swore...many times. I was sick of it. I am not raising spoiled little brats that can't get along with the only people who will be in their lives forever. I won't accept it. We are ok with the occasional disagreement. We get that we will get irritated once in a while being cooped up for 16 days but they could not go one hour in the day without a fight. So we talked more about doing for others rather than just for ourselves. Be more giving rather than me, me, me. Remember Karma? What goes around comes around comes around. My head may have spun around a couple of times and is clearly not on straight. We shall see what comes of it.
The ride to MN went much better and our dinner was nice. The weather is beautiful here. We walked to an outdoor mall and had dinner at Crave. Paul and I had an amazing Sushi Boat.
We will explore Minneapolis tomorrow...or come home. :)
