Good start to today. Sat on a bench at the beach, having breakfast and watching dolphins leaping in the bay. What could be better? Alerted to their presence by 15 noisy primary aged kids screaming that they had 'seen a whale'! Drove down the coast a little, saw some more dolphins and fur seals but decided to come back and do some walking. Spent a little over 3 hours walking the peninsula. Some woodland, open fields and beach walking. Deserved a beer after that, so had one! Then shopping and now preparing a BBQ! Photo taken on our walk earlier.

Steve Lucas Oh happy memories of Kaikoura ! Breakfast at The Dolphin Encounter ! Watching the first session of England v Black Caps at The Basin Reserve in Wellington on TV. Blue sky and sunshine - hope you get to see some play on Day 4. Regards, Steve
mikeyvonnewarren We had coffee @ Dolphin Encounter before our walk yesterday. Test started well for England. Hope weather intervenes to slow game down! Thanks for your advice re restaurants, spotted them both but not enough time unfortunately.
