Left Manapouri this morning under heavy cloud and threatening rain although it was very humid. As we travelled towards Queenstown we had increased rain and we feared the worst. But fear not dear reader, soon after we arrived in Queenstown the skies cleared and the sun shone. Temp rose into the 20's and all was well again. I know you will be pleased for us. A good walk around the town followed by an excellent lunch and, as you will see from the photo, some light refreshment from our chosen campsite. Tried to get the latest test score but seen that bad light has delayed the start. Should have played in Queenstown! Tried to find out where the pipeline is ( Laura bungy jumped from there) but it no longer exists as there is a higher one now, the Nevis. Pity really, we were thinking of following in Laura's footsteps. Dinner in town methinks then in the morning a trip to the heights in a gondola followed by a luge ride back to the bottom. After that we are off to Wanaka and further up the west coast. Kia Ora from New Zealand for now, will be in touch again.
