After breakfast this morning we went into Blenheim for a look around. Pretty much the same as any town, shops, museum and art gallery. Left
At around 10 and headed south towards Kaikoura. Stopped along the way and photographed some more fur seals except these ones had pups. Probably got a little too close as we disturbed them. Got some great shots though! Moving on we came across a couple of roadside stalls selling freshly cooked crayfish. Too good to miss so we stopped at the second one we saw. Nin's Bin. This was the one we chose. We later discovered that this was the one in our travel book. As you can see, Yakov had plenty to go at. He chose to have half hot with garlic and the other half cold with lemon. He thought all of it was delicious and couldn't decide which was best. Thought he would try again when the opportunity arose. Me, I thought it was OK but not that exciting. Is there any difference between a crayfish and a lobster? Moving on to Kaikoura we found a site about 6km from the town, right on the beach. Only downside is that there are 20+ school kids staying here. Currently singing loudly and generally having a great time. Wasn't like that in my time. Children should be seen and ......!lol. As I write this Yvonne has gone down to the beach with her beer. Got to go now, beach and beer to be enjoyed!
