Good morning!
It is 73 and sunny here today! A few of the guys left for Amsterdam this morning and the rest of the group went to Brugges, Belgium for the day to hang out there. I was planning on Amsterdam but something just seemed like a bad idea conquering Amsterdam with 5 guys and no other girls (all the other girls changed their minds about going to save money because of our Greece trip). So I decided to stay behind. Michelle and I are the only ones who opted to stay behind in Antwerp today and not going anywhere else. We are going to go shopping downtown and go to the zoo and the city aquarium. The zoo here is one of the biggest zoo's and I guess it even bigger than the Zoo back in Washington that is supposed to be pretty good.
Yesterday we had class all day. We started a 9am and did not get out until about 7pm. We had a few breaks but pretty much it was a full day of class. We had a history class on the Europena Union today. I love visiting over here but the more I learn about some of the countries over here and how they work, I have never loved America so much!!! We also had a "survival of speaking flemmish class". We learned basic words and foods, the days and numbers and stuff. Let me just say that foreign language is not one of my strengths. Every time I speak I go back to using the stuff I learned when I learned to speak Spanish and my Flemmish just comes out all wrong.
Lindsey, Jordan, Nick, Michelle, Jenny, Bailee and I went to El Poco Loco: Nachos and Cocktails. It was fun. We got a free bottle of wine from the server and had a few drinks and appetizers. They don't make nachos in Belgium like they do over in the states. After dinner and drinks we found a liquor store near our apartments and had everyone over to play drinking games. It was a lot of fun having everyone over last night, although our apartment is not looking in the best shape this morning :/ Well, we are off to our day of shopping and the zoo! Goedendag (aka have a good day!)
