An early start from Airlie beach to get to Emu park, well I say early, the bus left at 8am which these days is definitely early for us. Before we came away we paid for an Oz experience bus, but until now we had been taking the Greyhound busses as they are part of the same company. What we didn't realise is they are completely different services. The Greyhound is an express service where as the OZ bus goes a longer way round so the driver can point stuff out to you and tell you little facts about the places you drive through. We got to Emu park around 3pm and had a dip in the pool, got changed to come down for the Thai green curry that the hostel was putting on for everyone. We had managed to get a double room with a tv to ourselves for the first time in ages so we decided to take full advantage and have an early night, and watch some tv.  We also had another OZ bus at 8.30am taking us to Kroombit cattle ranch where we were staying for a night.
