So much for our early start this morning!Matt and Andy aren't feeling too well.Their vocal chords must be sore from all the karaoke last night. We eventually got on the road at 11.30am and started the drive up to Boodjamulla (Lawn Hill) National Park which was about 450km's away.Along the way we made a couple of stops, one for firewood and the other to have a play at a water crossing. We eventually got to Adel's Grove campground around 5pm and after a few laps of the camp area we found a suitable spot for our camp.It was bloody hot so the boys decided to go for a swim.Adel's Grove is a bit of an oasis in a pretty hot and dry area. There are lots of big shady trees and the creek is a beautiful aqua-green colour so it's a great spot for swimming - you just have to watch out for freshwater crocs!Which isn't really a problem as fresh water crocs are quite shy and only eat fish, they're not interested in humans.

Today we drove into Lawn Hill National Park which was only 5km's up the road and hire a canoe and went for a paddle up the creek and through the gorge. The creek is the same creek that runs through Adel's Grove and is fed by a number of natural springs further upstream. After paddling through the gorge we stopped at the waterfalls and went for a swim which was fantastic! You can swim right up to the bottom of the falls, climb over the rocks and it's just like a big spa bath. The water in the creek is so clear and such a beautiful colour, it's just a beautiful spot full stop.I'd definitely recommend putting it on your 'must see list' if ever you are up this way.
After canoeing we drove back to camp for lunch and Matt got the fire going and made up a bread mix to go in the camp oven. While the bread was cooking we went for a swim as it was so hot! When we got back to the bread was perfect - not bad for a first attempt!Well done Matt. That night we cooked up a roast in the camp over and taught Andy how to play 500.
