We catch up on 'housework' then wander in to town. From one of the alleyways we hear folk music and singing which we find is coming from outside a winery, so we stop to listen for a minute. Next thing we are presented with a glass of wine each and find out it is a promotion for the latest year's wine. The wine is good so Ali returns the glasses and buys a few bottles, which work out about £3.25 each.
At noon we meet N+G for lunch and go again to Kod Veskar's. Ali and Nick W share an enormous dish of seafood; scampi [langoustine], mussels, prawns, squid and baby octopus in a bisque sauce called Busara which Kod says 'is family secret'. Nick has grilled hake 'on Dalmatian' [which is not dogfish] but served with boiled potatoes and chard tossed in garlic butter. Grete has cheese platter. All very good with a litre of wine for around £11/head.
We amble around town once more, Ali buys some shoes then we return to the site, which is absolutely full. A lot of people are heading to a FICC rally on Pag and there are fifteen nationalities on site including a lage Swedish contingent.
It's a lovely warm evening as we sit out enjoying Grete's prawn linguini with a bottle of white we bought this morning. The Swedes have congregated, singing drinking songs accompanied by a banjo.
After dinner we watch a beautiful sunset.
