Cheddar Gorge is almost empty as we drive down through. Two years ago this road was a bit of a challenge but after the places Mary*Lou has taken us since then it's just another bit of tarmac.

This is our third year of travels in our motorhome. After two lengthy tours to Europe last year, we hope to do even more, continuing to travel without a definite plan, stopping where the mood takes us on a mixture of farms, vineyards, aires and formal sites.

re: A GUIDED TOURBrian O dear - Norovirus hit the land cruise. Balmoral has a similar problem. Three day cruise cancelled whilst they had a real big deep clean and gave the ship a chance to get rid of it. Sorry we are not there to soothe your fevered brow. xxx

re: A GUIDED TOURBrian When we were there last year the hand made lace and knitting sellers were in a different place to where they were when we were all there in 2007. They were at various levels on the steps leading up from the seaward end of the harbour to the back of the Cathedral. The prices were still very good - we bought a hand made table covering for Nicola and Steve for 20 e.. It is quite impressive. Rest of Cartagena would have been open- it was closed last time you were there
