Today was the reason we decided to stay on at Loyalty Beach for an extra few nights. Today was the day we were going over to Thursday Island by ferry and taking a bus tour. So all us Victorians awoke this morning with footy fever as it was the AFL grand final today between Collingwood and Geelong. Was a bit momentous as the Geelong crew obviously barracked for the cats and l am magpies as everyone knows. We woke up excited today about our anticipated expedition to 'the tip'. We rounded everyone up and left around 9:30am on a corrugated dirt road through Bamaga heading towards 'the croc tent'. This us a little souvenir shop in the middle of no where.
