Tomorrow were leaving Cairns and heading to Mount Carbine to stay a night and dump the caravan before starting the Cape.
The last few days have been heated, and not from the weather! Was bound to happen after spending 24/7 together. Yes that's right, after 9 weeks of being in each others face Marty and l had our first big blow up. There were times when we both thought the trip was going to end, but after a couple of days of venting and being grumpy with one another, we kissed and made up. So once the hugs were exchanged the smiles were back and we finally concentrated on getting things organized for our Cape adventure. We stocked up on food, filled both tanks in the Nissan and got our gear packed.
The girls have been great considering Marty's and my mood towards one another. They have been playing together great, riding there bikes and swimming heaps. Their both getting a tan looking like beach kids now. We decided to treat them to macca's for putting up with us. So last night we headed into the esplanade in Cairns and had our tea, then went for a walk along the esplanade. It is definately more beautiful since we were last in Cairns. Think they've done it up with the decking l think?! Anyway the girls enjoyed it, the blog pic is at sunset there.
Hopefully the next blow up is along way off. Thankfully it happened in Cairns and not in the middle of nowhere, who knows what would have happebed (lol). Anyhow, our adventures continue and we are both looking forward to our 3 week adventure to getting to Cape York.
