Sadly Marty had to go to work today, so l thought it would be nice to head into Darwin by bus and go to the wave pool for the morning.
We arrived around 10:30am and got a great spot under the umbrellas. It was again another warm day, so l think the wave pool was a great choice. Boo grabbed a boogie board straight up and headed out with Boof to teach her how to ride waves. So great to see Boo and Boof together, a great uncle! Nik, Meg and l bounced over the waves. Had to reassure Nikki that Meg wasn't drowning, that she just loves floating on the water. Think the life guards were a little on edge at times too lol.... Nikki looked amazing in her bikini with her baby belly. The time went so quick and before we knew it out time was up, 2pm had arrived. I think we had all had enough, were getting water logged. So we decided it was ice-cream time again, and what do you know, there was an ice-cream place l'd been dying to try on the waterfront. OMG, the gelato was heaven! The place is called Trampoline and l will definitely be keeping my eye out for this place around Australia. Amazing! Kicks ass over Cold Rock.
After savoring every bit of the gelato we headed back to catch the bus back. I'm so used to Sally arranging our schedule that l forgot to check the next bus time, so had to wait half an hour in the heat at the depot :(
We got home not long before Marty arrived home from work, the day ending up being longer than expected. After a few beers and wines the day had ended and we all hit the hay early. Another wonderful day with family.....
