Well the night before l had a tad too much to drink, which wasnt a good thing seeing that l had to pick up Boof and Nikki at midnight. We had a few drinks with Sally and Aaron and it ended being called "the sobering up party", which eventually worked when l arrived at the airport at midnight. Was a tad hairy driving to the airport, in hind sight should have maybe not drank so much, but l arrived safely and on time. I was very surprised to get a bit teary when l saw Boof and Nikki coming in from arrivals. Nikki looked fantastic at 6 months pregnant, first time l'd seen her whilst pregnant, maybe thats why l got emotional. Anyway, after driving back to the caravan park, we eventually got to bed around 2am. So excited to see Boof and Nikki again, we havent seen each other since New Years Eve, way too long. We have all missed them so much, the girls are very excited to see them when they wake up...

We all woke to the girls creeping in checking if Boof and Nikki had made it to Darwin or not. Very excited girls and l let them wake them up nice and early, Boof and Nikki didnt seem to care. I was so tired, hadnt felt like l'd slept, but l had promised the girls that l would make them pancakes for breakfast. Boof was especially keen for the pancakes, and it ended up bearly being brunch by the time l got organised. Little bit hungover as well, which didnt help. I had planned a fairly decent schedule for Boof and Nikki's visit, so we had to get cracken.

After breaky we headed off for a lunch time rondevou at Leanyor Waterpark with the Perkins and also meeting Belinda, Dale and Soul there as well. We all had a ball at the waterpark, Boof being the great uncle he is went down the waterslides with Boo. On the last slide, the red tunnel one, Boo flipped out at the end and grazed her leg on the concrete. Poor b***** doesnt cry much, so when l saw her coming over howling, l knew she was really hurt. But as always, she toughed it out and we had a great dip in the big pool. Aunty 'Ninny" and Uncle Boof went under the splash bucket with the girls which was hilarious seeing all the water crashing down and Meg screaming with delight. All the girls headed to the pool and splashed around with baby Soul, Boo and Meg are totally smitten with her! Sally was a little hung over from our 'sobbering up party' and was a little quiet, lol. The boys cooked up the snags and we all caught up under the shade of the trees. Sadly the day had to end and head back to the caravan park so Sally and Aaron could start packing up as they head off tomorrow :(

After chilling out at the pool for the arvo we got ready and headed down to the BBQ area to have a farewell party for the Perkins with Adam, Bree and Maisy joining us too. It was again a great BBQ night with all the kids playing together, sitting around telling each other scary stories whilst the adults were all able to have a yarn over a beer. Boof and Nikki got along well with Bree and Adam and am sure they will catch up again. When the night came to an end, we were all beat. Our first day down out of five with Boof and Nikki, know it is going to go fast. Was such a great day and so happy to have them staying with us, missing them heaps on the road, so greatful they could fly in to see us. Cant wait for the next few fun days that l have planned........
