Day 109 - Koh Samui
A lovely sunny day again this morning so it was the same drill as yesterday, get breakfast over and done with and get on the sun loungers!
It was still roasting today but since there was a bit of cloud there were little breaks from the sun making it a bit more bearable and not as many trips in and out of the air con.
We came into the room for a final cool down once the sun had begun to disappear and saw a tiny lizard above the curtain he was so cute just running up and down the wall. We glanced away for a second and he vanished!
We were relaxing in the room when Si saw something drop from the ceiling onto the pillows on the floor ... it was the little lizard we'd seen before, how clever that he jumped onto the pillows! He was so tiny I watched him crawl through the rug on the floor and went towards him as quiet as I could to try and get a picture. He stopped right next to Si's bag and I got a picture of him next to the buckle, he was looking right at the camera on one of them :)
After getting cleaned up we went out for tea and fancied a change so ventured round to a little pizza place down one of the side streets. The waiter was very convincing that we should only order 1 pizza between us as they were very big and that they would do a half and half deal for us. Liking the sound of his idea we decided what we wanted on each half and put the order in ... we ended up with 2 pizzas so not sure what happened to the half and half thing but they were very nice.
Making the most or everywhere selling beer again we went to a little cocktail place round the corner from where we are staying and spent a few hours sampling the cocktails on their special offers menu.
We are leaving Koh Samui tomorrow and heading up to Bangkok and still need to pack etc so unfortunately we couldn't stay out all night and headed back to the room to make an attempt on the packing and to finish off the rum :)
We've really enjoyed our second time in Koh Samui and glad we got to see another part of the island. Its amazing how different Chaweng is to Mae Nam where we stayed the first time but both are stunning places.
