Day 98 - Koh Samui
Unfortunately the weather is again pretty drizzly so we decide to have another quiet day lounging by the bar and packing up our stuff ready to head to the home of the full moon parties - Koh Phangan tomorrow. We also need to book our train tickets up to Bangkok from here and from Bangkok to Chiang Mai (where we're riding elephants) back to Bangkok again so we go see the local travel agent in town and he sorts them all out for us and they will be ready to pick up in the morning.
As we leave the travel agents we nip into a local bar for a drink as it's just started lashing it down, we then shoot round the corner to grab an Itallian which is run by a German woman with food cooked by a Thai ... true international cuisine!
After we were both stuffed we wondered to the local supermarket (7/11) to grab some booze, we opt for the local Samsong rum and it cost a whopping £1.50 a bottle (good times) and surprisingly the stuff isn't that bad, pretty sweet so you have to have it with diet coke as normal would be waaaaay to sugary. After we arrive back we chill out for a bit n watch Ironman 2 (finally) and polish off our bottle of Samsong then start on the packing as we're up early to head to our next destination of Koh Phangan!
Overall we liked Samui it's very chilled where we were on the North however it's different on the other parts of the Island the East is more livelier and has a proper "strip" We've decided as we have to get the ferry from here back to the mainland we're going to come back for 6 nights after Phangan and stay in Chaweng (the busy bit)
