Day 107 - Koh Samui

Another cloudy day again today. We take the opportunity to give all of our washing to the hotel and get it all washed and dried for a whopping 80p BARGAIN!

We didn't really have much to do today since the sun was hiding behind his cloud so we waited until a respectable hour in the afternoon and cracked open the rum :)

Today I'm allowed proper food again so we get ready and head out for some tea. Spoilt for choice I decide I should try a Thai yellow curry and it was gorgeous will definately be getting that again!

We ordered a beer each with our tea and was given a piece of paper with lots of thai writing on it. The owner then came over and explained that because there is an election no where in Thailand is allowed to sell alcohol for the next 2 days, alcohol is not to be consumed in public and if anywhere is caught selling alcohol the owner and staff will all be arrested (bit harsh) ... coke instead then.

As we were walking back to the room we could see that the strip was absolutely dead, not just bars but restaurants were practically empty all because there was no beer! .. Luckily we still had some rum left in the room :)
