Day 52 - Dandenong/Melbourne Casino

We all awake a little worse for wear following last nights events but drag ourselves up to get ready and check out, the hostel was supposed to have free breakfast but it was no where to be seen so we popped in the cafe round the corner before getting back on the road back to Dandenong so Jason can vote (apparently is compulsory over here if you dont vote you get fined!).

We arrive back about lunch time and sink into the couch while Jason gets the voting done. For lunch we head to Hungry Jacks (their Burger King) I ordered a double cheeseburger and they gave me a triple! Who would want 3 burgers its just wrong, nobody should eat that amount of beef on a bun! Si opted for the Bourbon Whopper .. apparently is ok.

After lunch we went to the local pub to watch the Hawks play and they won by over 100 points ... Jason was grinning ear to ear it was a very good match to watch!

We went back to the house to get showered and got the train to the city for some tea and a night at the casino. All the food places in the casino were either quite pricey or had at least an hour wait so we found a little Italian restaurant around the corner and the food was delicious!

Once we were back in the casino we went to the bar where me and lou got 2 massive cocktail jugs like the 1s in vegas it was a skittle flavoured one but the glass was so heavy it gave us back ache. I did my vegas trick of winning on the slots straight away and cashing out. It was Lou's first time at a casino so she had a go on the slots, and a few of the video machines before we all settled at the roulette table.

After a while it was about 1:30am and we were tired so we all jumped in a taxi home so we could head straight to bed. It's our last half a day in Melbourne tomorrow as we have to jump on the train back to Sydney to do the bridge climb and head to Bali.
