Day 43 - Coolangatta/Melbourne/St Kilda
We awake to the sound of rowdy teenagers a group of them invaded the hostel last night on some kind of school trip (haha i sound old) After Brekky it's time to check out and we head on round to the airport, glorious sunshine again so making the most of it before we get to rainy Melbourne.
After a while sat in the airport reading about things to do in Melboure we can check in and are soon on our way. Flight is straight forward and goes pretty quick due to a bit of iphone gaming, as we get near Melbourne i'm unsure what the fuss about the weather is it looks good then as we begin our decent we fly through the thickest clouds i've ever seen (it looks like Manchester) We land and walk for ages to get to baggage collection which i'm surprised to see is actualy a little shed surrounded by a chain link fence and a football ground type turnstile (Not very secure) nice to see the Melbournians treat domestic flight customers like cattle! The shuttle bus takes a little while to find but we track it down and on our way to St Kilda.
We're staying at The Ritz hostel which is above a "traditional British pub" called the Elephant and Wheelbarrow, this traditional pub hosts regular Neighbours nights with various stars such as Karl Kennedy and Toadfish and charges about $30 in on those nights! Anyways we checkin and are starving so we head out, Rho decides as she hasn't had it for ages she wants chips and gravy so we go in a chippy called Cone heads and grab a cone of chips with gravy (yummy) after this we're a bit thirsty so head to the Elephant n Wheelbarrow for a couple before the yawns start to appear so we head back to the room for some shut eye as we have a lot to do tomorrow.
