Day 44 - St Kilda
After a good nights sleep we get up and go for a wonder around St Kilda. It's a bit Blackpoolish it has it's own pier, theme park, bars, cafes and fast food type places. As it's still early very little is open so we duck in a coffee shop for a fry up and a brew before heading to the Thai Consulate to grab the application forms for our Visa (We would of sorted this before we came to Oz but the Thai Visa has to be used within 3 months of getting it and it can't be post dated which is a massive pain!) after a quick google maps we find it's only about 15 mins from where we are so walk it down there after stopping to grab some passport pics. Everythings straight forward and the friendly Thai tells us the visas will be ready to collect on Monday. Feeling a little more relaxed we head outside and jump on the tram to Melbourne City centre. After having a walk around we decide to pickup our train tickets for our train back to Sydney next week however due to a slight reading error Rhona managed to take us in the completely wrong direction and we were walking around for about 2 hours! not really a bad thing as we covered quite a lot of the city and saw things we wouldn't of otherwise.
After eventually finding the station we grab our tickets and head back to St Kilda for tea and more drink! when we get back in the hostel Rhona realises they have a dog, a Beagle no less called Louie. She starts quizing the hostel manager about the dog and decides she wants a Beagle more than ever as it had soppy eyes.
After a couple beers and a pizza we are shattered from our long walk around the city and decide to retire for the night, another big day tomorrow as we're meeting up with Jason & Louise!
