Was up bright and breezy again. My body clock is so screwed up. This morning we jumped in a cab down to Pier 33, for our trip to Alcatraz - the home of some of America's most notorious criminals. Our cab driver was awesome and had a real passion for her city.
Alcatraz was great, seeing the conditions they lived in and the extremes they went to, to escape, were really interesting. After that, we got the boat back to the city and went to Hard Rock Cafe for lunch. I had the Texan. Mmmm. Pulled pork thing was totally lush. Then we walked around the shops, and I may have treated myself to one or two things. Justifying them as I can always wear them to the gym! Ummm. We popped to see the Sea Lions on the jettys - my brothers from another mother.
I have been dying to go and see the house in the film Mrs Doubtfire so we asked a cab driver to take us and wait for us. A lovely neighbourhood. We went outside the house and outside on the stones were messages of condolences to the late Robin Williams. It showed what an impact he had on people.
The cab ride back was interesting. Alex went to pay on her card so Dani and I got out. I was totally oblivious but the taxi driver and the girls yelled at me to get back in the cab. The guy was about to grab my bag apparently. Scary shizzle! He'd have been disappointed with three sports jerseys fit for a mammal!
Now I'm resting my poor dodgy knee before our walking tour and dinner in Chinatown tonight.
Much love xx
