So today was an 8am start, leaving Vegas. We knew it'd be a long journey but wasn't prepared for what lay ahead. We stopped for lunch at 10.30am... Yes I know. As it was lunch I had a Philly beef and cheese sarnie with onion rings.

By 12 we'd broken down. In the middle of the Mojave Desert. We couldn't get off the coach for safety reasons and we were toasting. We had to wait 3.5 hours for a replacement bus to arrive from LA. Our tour guide ordered us loads of pizza which we chomped away on in the coach.

We finally got on our way and stopped for dinner at a all you can eat salad restaurant - weird but refreshing following all the American food we've been eating.

Pulled into Bass Lake resort at 11pm. We have nice wooden chalets and are hitting the sack ready for an early start tomorrow. We're heading into Yosemite National Park for a bit of trekking.
