Day 34
After a very sleepless and painful night we decided to check Lorna's finger to see if it had stopped bleeding and to check the extent of the damage. To our surprise it started bleeding badly again after the pressure of the bandage was off. So Al went to get Graeme to take us to the Medical Centre, Al made it to the door of reception and heard a loud scream of his name. When he rushed back to the room and opened the door just in time to see Lorna faint head first onto the hard floor and then have a fit. Needless to say Al scooped Lorna up and lay her down on the bed and ran to get Graeme.
Graeme took us to the Medical Centre and we got an Emergency Appointment. As the wound had been open for over 4 hours they would not put stitches in. Instead the nurse applied steri strips and bandages and asked that we returned tomorrow for a check up.
Obviously we couldn't do anything too strenuous so we went to the beach and Al body boarded for half an hour and then went for run number one, whilst Lorna sunbathed on the beach as she couldn't go in the water for 7 days.
After a 2 hour sleep on the beach Al went for run number 2 up 7 Mile Beach. Ever the optimist he thought it wouldn't be that far but it was about 7 miles and he was knackered when he got back.
