Day 16
Lorna was excited about this day for ages. So much so that her sleepless night meant we got up a little later than planned.
We took a walk into the CBD to find the correct bus stop, to get us to Palm Beach. Lorna was so tired that she needed a coffee from McDonalds to wake her up.
We got on the bus and it took around an hour and a half. It was a bargain ride as it only cost us about 3 pounds.
When we got there it started to rain and Al was keen to go back. Thankfully we found 2 girls from London who shared Lorna's enthusiasm to go celeb spotting, as they informed us they were filiming. After about 20 minutes looking for Alf Stewart, we found the film crew doing a scene on the other side of the beach.
We walked down and tried to take some photos but the battery died. The 2 girls took some photos for us, which we are currently waiting for. We'd seen the filming and Al thought it was time to go back home. However, little did he know that he'd be spending the 2 hours of his life camped outside Alf Stewart's trailer waiting for him to come out for photo. The photo and autograph were achieved, along with photos of 'Kirsty', 'Aden', 'Ric' and 'Lincoln'.
We were wet and cold so we decided to head back to Sydney. As we walked to the train station to enquire about another leg of our trip, we stumpled across the premiere of Ironman. There were film crews and screaming fans. So we decided to join them.
While we waited for Robert Downey Jr to arrive James Tobin (a australian presenter) was filming for the morning tv programme Sunrise and we were both in the background. We were lucky enough to see Jon Favreau, Naomi Watts and her husband and then Robert Downey Jr up close.
