Day 20
We decided to explore Newcastle today, although there is not a lot to do considering it is the 2nd biggest city in New South Wales, Sydney is first.
First stop was the Obelisk, this is the highest point in Newcastle and was a popular viewing point for Hayleys comet. Lorna was more interested in the palm tree branch she found, and tried to joust Al with it.
From here we walked down to the Bogey Hole. On the way Lorna decided to roll down the hill....actually Al dared me too! The Bogey Hole is a natural swimming pool naturally carved out of the rock face where waves crash against the rocks.
We went back to the hostel to collect the bodyboards to go onto Newcastle Beach. The current was a lot stronger and we were unable to catch as many waves. Al got stung by a jellyfish and told off by the lifeguard over the PA for being outside of the flags.
