Day 29

It was our last day in Bellingen and we were heading to Coffs Harbour in the afternoon.

When we woke up the weather was amazing and the view from the verrandah at the hostel was fantastic. So we decided to walk about half an hour to a lookout, with 2 girls we had met, and it was well worth it.

We then went to an organic market, although there was not much to see or do. We had some organic ice cream and brought a couple of vegetables. So we decided to head to the side of the river to sunbathe.

Thats when we had a bright idea to swim across the Bellingen River. People were looking at us as if we'd gone crazy, but we had never done it before so we thought, what the hell. We know that in the river they have Water Dragons, Leeches and possibly snakes. No wonder we got such funny looks. One of the girls took photos and the 3 of us swam across then got out ran across a bridge and climbed down a log and jumped in the river again. We'll leave you to decide who was encouraging who...

We showered off and then it was time to leave for our next destination...Coffs Harbour (home of the Big Banana).
