The second Island on our trip and the largest of the eight. We planned on a beach day at Maspalomas Beach. The weather was nice. It took us about 40 minutes to cross the island. The beach was behind a nature preserve with ponds, greenery and large sand dunes. We walked to the beach and soaked up some rays. Bill wandered for a bit then came back for me. We climbed the dunes and I set up for a great photo of me jumping into the air with my legs tucked under me planning to have at least 2 feet of air between my feet and the sand. It was going to be awesome. Bill set up his camera and I jumped. Okay that was a practice jump. It looked like I only caught 4” of air. His angle must have been off as I jumped wildly throwing caution to the air. I prepared again throwing my arms in the air which would surely help me take off. That shot I caught about 5“. Damn it why did I not travel more in my 30’s when this might have been possible. Moving on. We walked then hit the sign that alerted us to the nude beach ahead. Lots of folks walking along the beach dressed so we felt we’d fit in. Not to be deterred we continued. Unfortunately the only nudes were in their 70’s at least. Well that is except for some guy whose lower region jewelry almost blinded me when the sun hit it just right. There he stood legs planted at least a foot and half apart swaying his bejeweled nether regions back and forth to some non existent tune. Interesting! I’m thinking some kind of mating ritual! We continued our walk. On the way back his ritual must have worked as he was gone. We bought ice cream and headed home. Nice beach, lovely area. If you’re Beach people I could see staying in the area for a week or so. Lots to see but you’d need more time.

HRold Two things: Yeh the “jump”. Why I’m shocked I don’t know but it looks like you might have caught air time with one foot. Secondly. And apparently I’m nieve “jewelled parts”. That’s all I’m gonna say as no words can explain what this concussed head is thinking. The island sounds amazing.
Dominique You guys really know how to have all the fun, glad you had a wonderful trip. We miss you lots!
