The second Island on our trip and the largest of the eight. We planned on a beach day at Maspalomas Beach. The weather was nice. It took us about 40 minutes to cross the island. The beach was behind a nature preserve with ponds, greenery and large sand dunes. We walked to the beach and soaked up some rays. Bill wandered for a bit then came back for me. Our cruise landed in Barcelona and was to leave for the transatlantic portion of our journey later that afternoon. We had some sun today which we welcomed. Our tour was led by a nice young Montenegrin man. We called him Bob at his request. He was quite humorous throughout the day. We jumped onto a bus and off we went up the mountain. Bob entertained us with historical facts as well as humorous antidotes about life in Montenegro.
