So the 3 days zoomed by in Brisbane and it was time for us and the girls to get the Greyhoud bus down to Surfers Paradise which was only 1 hour and a half away. When we arrived it seemed really tidy, clean and very modern, just overall really nice and you could easily see yourself living there. We all checked into our room and again we were altogether for the 1 night we were staying at this Hostel. Then me, Matt, jo and Gemma went for a jog around surfers, Gem and Jo stopped earlier than us because as you know we are athletes so me and Matt carried on down to this little lake which was really nice. They had a couple of exercise stations that you could use for a little workout. We then went back and Becky cooked Chilli for us al for dinner. Straight after dinner we had a cup of tea and a bit of cake while watching the film Hitch. It was a really good chilled out night which we all needed.

The next morning we all got up early as we had to check out and buy tickets for Movie World (theme park) and Waterworld. So we left our bags in the back yard while we spent the day at Movie world, the weather was hot so a good day for the theme park. When we got there, there was a few cartoon characters dancing around like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety and Sylvester. Jo was in her element as she loves any sort of cartoon. They were all dancing to a routine with this women dressed as santa, fit! After getting a few snaps with Austin Powers and Marilyn Monroe we went on some of the rides which were good, a few that the girls screamed at. One drop one that Jo said she wasn't going to go on but we managed to drag her on and make her sit next to me. As we got up I was tormenting her to make her even nervous which seem to work a tad, funny. After the day was over we all jumped on the bus back to the Hostel. It was annoying on the bus as it was packed and we had to swap buses and get another. When we got back we picked our bags up, then crossed the road to get another bus to our Hostel about 15 minutes down the road. Anthony and Adam were staying at this Hostel so we had people there to meet which was good. When we arrived and checked in, as we were in different rooms we said we would meet the girls at the bar after we all had our shower etc. We had a few beers before going upto bed.

Woke up early again the next morning to have a bit of brekky and make our way to Waterworld. When we got there, there was a load of family rides and a few rides for thrillseekers. We all went on the family rides at the start of the day, then after lunch we went into the big main pool where the wave machine was. We had a little bit fun in the wave pool as me and Matt were beating eachother up and holding the girls under. After that there was a swing that me, Jo and Gemma went on which was 50m in the air. It basically drags you up to the top and the person on the left (Jo) has to pull the rope so it lets you drop. Gemma was scared for her life so I told all the blokes that put our harnesses on to wind her up. It was brilliant when they let us go up and he dropped and harness buckle from above her head which looked like it fell out of her harness. You should of seen her face drop, what a picture but it was too late to do anything which made it even funnier. When we got to the top, it was only 50m but as we facing the floor it did look really high. We heard a click go off behind and i looked and Gemma and said 'I'm sure that came from your harness' and once again her face was a picture. Then Jo pulled the rope and away we went. It was a really fun ride to go on and if we wanted to go back on it, it would only be half the price. After we got off me, Gem and Matt went on this drop ride that you get into the slide, stand there with your arms crossed and then the floor drops and you do a loop and out of the end. It was a really good ride but funny as alot of people got stuck. Gemma got stuck half way round the loop but managed to pull herself round and finish it off but some people fell back. After that ride we all got dried and made our way to the bus stop. When we got back that night we was booked on the Party Bus so straight in, dinner, shower and get ready. thenn have a few pre drinks before jumping on this crazy party bus. Soon as we got on all the cheesy music come on and We was in our element, but we was only on the bus 10 minutes before getting into the town. We went into some of the clubs, had our free drinks and then moved onto the next one. We went to a bar where there was a pole, and Jo being Jo went up and had a little go which literally the whole club was watching as she was pretty good until she tried jumping up the pole a fell straight down, very funny but i don't thing the guys really cared about that. Overall it was a very good night and we really enjoyed ourselves.

The next day I just chilled by the Hostel doing mine and Matt's washing while they went into the town. Later that night Debbie and Rosa come up to Surfers for a couple of nights, it was our last night so me and Matt went out with them and Rosa's friend/family Beth. She was hilarious, loved her. She took us to a local bar she goes to where there was a band playing. The band was awesome and so was the bar she took us to, all the local people and hardly any backpackers, expensive though, but well worth it. Beth left a little earlier than us as she had to be up for work early in the morning and plus she was smashed. We left a little after her, had about a half an hour walk home before leaving Deb and Rosa as they were staying at Beth's. We would see them in Sydney again just before xmas. We went back and went to bed ready for our coach ride down to Byron the next day.

The next day we got up, packed our bags and made our way to the coach station ready to catch our coach down to Byron Bay...
