After our brilliant time in Noosa we headed to our next destination which was Brisbane. It was an hours journey down so not a horrible journey. Soon as we arrived at the coach station there was a mini bus there pick us up to take us to our Hostel. It was called Bunk which a few people had recommended us to go to. We were all in the same room which was good but quite a tight room, and the good thing about it was that each bed had it's own socket and light so you could charge your phones etc. Most of the other Hostels have 1 socket for a whole 8 bed dorm which is stupid. Soon as we got unpacked and settled in we went for a little shop for dinner and brekky for the next couple of days. Then me and Matt went for a walk into town which looked really nice, it had loads of shops that we could look in. We then met up with Clare and Alex from back home and they showed us down by the Lagoon which was right over the bridge. The view you got of the city from over the other side of the bridge was unreal, amazing! There was markets over there which we had a little look around in, it was quite late by then so we didn't really have alot of time to have a little swim. We then had a 40 minute walk back to the Hostel where we had dinner, shower and got ready and went to the club that was in our Hostel. Gemma got really drunk that night and fell asleep on a table and before long she got escorted out of the club by a bouncer. After about half an hour Matt went out for a bit of fresh air and the bouncer said to him that he had to leave because he thought Matt has had to much to drink. But he had only had 3 beers but they are really strict over here. Our mate Adam came and met us later in the night and they wouldn't let him as they thought he had to much to drink but the he hadn't had a drop. But we managed to get him in. We stayed a little while longer before going to bed as it was quite late.
We woke up fresh the next day, went down and got Matt's bank card from Commonwealth. Mine still hadn't arrived yet as it had only been a couple of days. Adam and Anthony ( a couple of lads from London that we met in 1770) came out with us that night and went to the same bar as the last night but upstairs which was a bit better. Clare and Alex met us in there, before long they took us to another club around the corner which seemed ok. Out the corner of my eye I saw some football playing on the tele, and it was Arsenal vs Everton so I stood and watched that for the last 15 minutes. Then had a dance and Clare took us to this really nice Pizza place (apparently to her) and order a big pepperoni for us to share. She said to us that it wasn't going to be hot but when it came out it was really spicy and we literally couldn't eat. We saw one of our pals from back in Cairns which we had a little chat for a minute but he went somewhere else. We went back to the Hostel after that and hit the sack.
Each day in Brisbane we didn't really do alot apart from go to the town during the day and go out at night but it was a very nice city and look forward to coming back here to live after the East Coast. The next day we had to catch a bus down to Surfers Paradise which is meant to be really nice...
