Nervous Turkey!
Franz Josef
After a broken nights sleep, listening every few hours to see if the downpour had stopped, Char woke at 7.30 as this would give us time to get ready for the glacier. 8 minutes in a helicopter and 3 hours on the glacier were an exciting thought. However our moods were soon dampened by the splash of raindrops on the window. The noise was clear, however Char needed to go outside to check just incase. Gutted! On this trip we would not be able to see the slowly disappearing Franz Josef Glacier. Another trip will just have to be organised.
With moods on a low, there wasn't much to excite us today. But with Queenstown on our minds, we decided to grab a coffee and some free wifi with Holly, Hester and Emma to do a bit of research into Queenstown's WinterFest.
The afternoon turned into wet playtime. After pulling what we thought was a good team together we came 3rd! We aren't sure what is happening to our winning streak, we need to get some general knowledge research done. Twister was the next game on the agenda and was enjoyed by all. What a game that is!
Tonight our roomies were Hester & Emma and Johannas & Patrick from Italy (however they speak German), they are hilarious and the English German language barrier just makes them even funnier. Music, corridor skateboarding and lots of laughs were had.
We may have been extremely disappointed however it turned out to be a pretty good chilled out day.
