Saturday... HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM! Laura was woken by the hostel owner at 7:05 and told our bus would arrive in 10 minutes, we booked the 8:00 bus so rather confused as to what happened there! Our coach was very peculiar, 3 single isles of seats which were sort of on the floor with your legs out infront of you and the back reclined all the way back so you could lie down, quite comfortable for Laura but Bens long legs didn't fit! It was a long 8 hours back to Ho Chi Minh, we were very relieved to be back with Kate and Max.... And the sofa!!! We were quite hungry so ordered some burritos before unpacking our bags, skyping home and getting ready for our night out, it was Kate and Max's friend Talia birthday, we had a very fun night and didn't get home until 4!
Sunday we were all tired/hungover, we spent the whole day on the sofa watching TV and films. Marvellous Max cooked us a delicious full English for brunch and for dinner we ordered yummy Mexican pizzas.
Monday we were up early to head to the Chinese Embassy to try to obtain our visas, unsuccessful what a surprise, they are super fussy with how our passports should be photocopied and they want bank statements so it will be a mission getting them out here! We headed back to the apartment rather disheartened and watched TV until Kate and Max returned for lunch, after they headed back to work we popped to the supermarket to get some supplies. We spent the rest of the day watching TV and washing our clothes, Kate and Max had their end of term/Vietnamese new year work party in the evening so we just stayed in and order our favourite Thai soup then had a much needed early night as tomorrow we are up early again for our trip to the Mekong Delta.
