The rain stopped at 11am so we left for 14km walk to San Gimignano. Lovely walk through vineyards and the rain never returned. Stopped and had best lasagne we have ever eaten at agriturismo hotel en route. San Gimignano is beautiful on top of the hill but very busy. It is now a UNESCO heritage which is great for the towns business’s but ruins it for every one else. I’m only grumpy as the Oslo Bucco and vino Rossi are starting to play up! We are loving the freedom of walking again experiencing life as we go. People seem very friendly and like to have the crack with you.
