Day 7! We got the bus to Atlantic City this morning, as it was going to be a hassle to get straight to Philadelphia from Seaside Heights. I really wasn't that fussed about coming here but I'm so glad we did! There were loads of cool casinos/shopping malls/hotels/restaurants all in the same building. And the boardwalk was pretty cool, with loads of cafés and bars and shops. We tried a New Jersey delicacy of deep fried Oreos, which were actually a lot better than they sound! Sort of like a hot donut with an Oreo inside. Pretty yummy but I don't think I'd have one again. We did a bit of shopping then in the afternoon we found a beach bar that had a live band playing so many great covers and then great music playing so we stayed there all afternoon! I only had 2 drinks but I'm pretty sure the 2nd drink I had was just tequila so ended up a bit tipsy... We went for dinner in one of the shopping malls and came back to the motel where I fell asleep for a couple of hours.. Oops! We went back to the boardwalk to see the light show on the Boardwalk Hall which was so cool! They basically projected a 10 minute light show on to the building to music, it was really well done! L x
