Today we woke up to the sound of pouring rain on our roof (again!). It showed no sign of stopping so we had to run in to have our showers, then quickly packed up - had to eat our cereal sat in the front seats! We drove into Timaru and visited the library to make use of the free internet.
As it was still raining, we decided to go to the pictures as 'The Help' was out that day and we both wanted to see it. After a trip to Pak n Save we parked up at the cinema and bought our tickets. I then realised that they had a desk for collecting rugby world cup tickets purchased online, so we managed to pick up our tickets for Sunday's game too. The film was brilliant and we both really enjoyed it.
Afterwards, we found the rain had stopped and there was beautiful blue sky outside. We got in the van and started driving South towards Oamaru. On the map, we saw a town called Normanby that we would be driving through, so we intended to stop and take a photo...but it must have been so small that we missed it - never mind!
After about an hours drive we arrived at our campsite, just North of Oamaru. The owner was very nice and friendly and we got chatting to him for a while before parking up. We then installed ourselves in the kitchen / TV room for the rest of the night! All our favourite programmes were on - Masterchef, Coronation Street (18 months old), 24 hours in A&E and Motorway Cops!
We got talking to an English couple over for the world cup and they told us they had some spare England tickets if we were interested - 2 for England v Romania in Dunedin, the week after the match we're going to, and he only wants the face value for them - $50 each - sold! So now we have 2 live games to look forward to. Just hope we win them both...
