This morning we decided to head back to a café we'd visited a couple of days before for breakfast - last time we only used the internet there but the food looked rally good! We ordered scrambled eggs on toast and read all about the Abs victory in the paper while we were eating. It's been a fantastic tournament and we've both got into it much more than we thought we would! It's been good to meet people from all over the world as we've been travelling around and the Kiwis have been excellent hosts…and they did play the best rugby so they deserved their win! We'll win it back when it comes to England in 2015!
After breakfast, we stopped off at The Warehouse (new flip flops or 'jandals' for Laura) and Countdown before driving North and East. We stopped at a place called Pancake Rocks on the way, to look at the unique formations, which look like pancakes stacked on top of each other rising out of the sea. There's also a blowhole there that the sea shoots up through at high tide, but we'd missed that by a couple of hours!
Our campsite for the night was at Lyell where we were attacked by sandflies yet again! We'd decided to change our plans slightly - instead of going to Westport tomorrow (which would mean driving back the way we came today for quite a while along windy roads!) we're going to carry on along this road towards Nelson, where we'll spend my birthday in a couple of days time!
