Today we drove back towards Nelson after leaving the campsite and parked our van at the bottom of Boundary Hill in town. After a steep half hour, windy climb to the top, we'd reached what the hill is famous for - the spot marking the exact centre of NZ! So now we've been to the Northern and Southern tips of the country (Cape Reinga and Bluff) and the middle!

On our way out of town we stopped for shopping and then hit the road towards Picton. We stopped for lunch at a lookout point with a view over the Marlborough Sounds - stunning place! Then we arrived back where we'd started on the South Island on a rainy day a couple of months ago, in Picton. We decided to stay at a proper site to get our washing done, and it was a nice site. We spent the evening catching up online and watching the Masterchef Australia semi-final - I reckon Michael will win!
