After a chilly night in the van, we woke up and ate our breakfast in the front of the van with the heating on! We set off South towards the small town of Moeraki and it's famous boulders - a lot more interesting than they sound! We parked up and walked the short distance to the beach. As we had 4 nights before coming back to Dunedin Holiday Park we decided to spend 2 nights at a cheap DOC site up near Oamaru, and then 2 nights at a powered site on the Otago Peninsular back in Dunedin. We decided to stay another night at Waitaki Waters Holiday Park as it was a nice site and so we could get the money to buy the England tickets from the couple, who were also staying another night. We went to the office to pay for tonight and the owner gave us some very useful information about Oamaru, where we were heading for the day. He showed us where we could park for free, and told us not to pay the $25 each to see the penguins, just hand around in the carpa...

Today we woke up to the sound of pouring rain on our roof (again!). It showed no sign of stopping so we had to run in to have our showers, then quickly packed up - had to eat our cereal sat in the front seats!
