Today was a pretty quiet day until our showdown with Scotland in the rugby in the evening! After another lie-in, we drove to a boutique chocolate makers in town called The Seriously Good Chocolate Company, where we paid $6 for only 4 chocolates, but they were good!
We weren't in town long before we went back to the site for the rest of the day. We lounged about reading and watching telly until tea-time. Then we headed over to the Cabbage Tree, a restaurant on the edge of our site for some home-cooking. The place was busy as it was Saturday night, and they were showing the France v Tonga game in the restaurant. I had some sausage and mash for tea and Laura had pork schnitzel in mushroom sauce - we like to keep you up to date with our menu choices! It wasn't really a rugby pub, so we drove into town to an Irish bar called Waxy O'Sheas, which we'd spotted earlier in the week.
We made ourselves comfortable at the bar before realising we were the only Englsih fans in the place! There were a few French guys (cheering for Scotland) an Irish couple (cheering for Scotland) and lots of Kiwis (cheering for Scotland)! However, once the game got going, we managed to make enough noise to fill the bar everytime England got close! It was a tough game and the Scots were winning for a long time, but we got a try in the last 5 minutes and ended up winning 16-12. A good night and another win, which means we've won the group and will probably play France in the next round...
