This mornig we had a lie-in, then we drove to the I-Site with a plan of parking up and having a look around the town. On the way, I saw an advert on our map for Splash Palace - a leisure centre with hot tubs and a steam room. I fancied a swim (it's been a while!) so we changed our plans and drove there instead - the beauty of having your own wheels!

We had a good couple of hours swimming and steaming, with a jacuzzi in between - not bad for $14 for 2 of us! After that, we drove into town to find Devil Burger - I'd read about this place in the Lonely Planet. They said it had just opened but looked promising and they were right! We decided on a Devil's Staircase for me, with bacon and pineapple. and an Out to Lunch burger for Laura - chicken and feta. They were both delicious and we were stuffed afterwards!

We had a wander around town to work off our lunch, and then headed to the beach near our campsite. It was the first nice day in ages, and everyone seemed to have the same idea as us! You could drive onto the beach, and when we got there we found quite a few cars / vans there already! We got our chairs out (haven't had much need for them yet!) and sat reading in the sun for an hour or so, before heading back to the campsite - another relaxing day in NZ!

In the evening, we skyped Dawn, Maria and Ruby and got a shock when we saw how big and mobile Ruby is now! It was good to caht to them though - we're making the most of skype since we've been at this cam[psite which has webcams!
