Our last three days in Cape Town were semi-eventful. After the two days on the bus we had a day of walking and went to the Old Biscuit Mill which is like a market. It was really busy and took us like an 1 hour and a half to get there while allowing us to walk through a weird part of town. We then walked along Long St to shop and stuff but apparently shops close at 1pm on Saturday. Really?
So we wasted time at the hostel and decided to go to a movie at this little theatre that's old and serves alcohol. We saw The Life of Pi. Mixed feelings about it and I should definitely finished the book. Oops.
Sunday we took the metrorail to False Bay and then Simon's Town. From Simon's town we walked to Boulder's Beach and saw cute little penguins. On the way back we stopped at Kalk Bay and ate at a restaurant that's basically on the beach. We both had fish and chips and it they were delicious. That night we went to the movies again (it's cheap) and saw The Oranges. Look it up. It's interesting.
Yesterday we just wasted time until our bus. It had rained the night before so it wasn't hot, which was perfect. We did the shopping on Long St we couldn't do Saturday and then just hung out at the hostel. Then we took our six hour bus ride to Mossel Bay.
And there we are.
Merry Christmas.
So far we've slept it (til 8) and then went to the beach. Looks like it will be a pretty calm and uneventful day. But that's Christmas, right?
